In a world 🌎 driven by the need to attract and retain #toptalent, South Africa 🇿🇦 now stands to gain from the brain drain of Europe and the United States.
If leveraged properly, this could position #southafrica favorably and attract professionals to the shores of the country that has birthed many great innovations 💡
Says the report: "South Africa is the sixth most-desired country to #relocate to in the world, a new study has found.
The research was conducted by Compare the Market Australia, which assists users in finding a home loan that matches their individual needs and circumstances.
The website analysed each country on its annual search volume for terms such as “relocating to (country)” and “moving to (country)” to reveal the world’s most desirable countries to relocate to.
It found Canada to be the most-desired country to relocate to in the world, followed by Japan, Spain, China and France, which all ranked in the top five.
Turkey tied with South Africa in sixth with India, Australia, Greece and Fiji rounding off the top 10.
Meanwhile, the least-desired countries to relocate to in the world include Sweden, The Philippines, Bulgaria, Germany, Thailand and Egypt.
Singapore, Myanmar, Italy, and Nigeria were also listed as some of the least desirable, according to the study.
Researchers found that with the rise of working from home in the past couple of years, the number of people who are considering packing up their lives and moving to a new country was also on the rise.

The Chinese actor, 63, told Hong Kong movie site Jayne Stars in an interview last week that he planned on donating his $714 million fortune to charity.
“My dream is to be a happy and normal person,” he told the outlet. “The hardest thing in life is not about how much money you earn, but how to keep a peaceful mindset and live the rest of your life in a simple and carefree manner.”
Chow previously claimed to the outlet that he only spent about $102 a month on himself. He was accustomed to using the same Nokia phone for over 17 years until he finally got a smartphone two years ago — but only because his Nokia stopped working, according to the outlet.
The actor has also been spotted shopping at discount stores.
“I don’t wear clothes for other people,” he told Jayne Stars. “As long as I think it’s comfortable, then it’s good enough for me.”

It was about an hour after the Springboks’ opening match of Rugby World Cup 2023 – a comfortable 18-3 win over Scotland.
A reporter, during a media conference in the bowels of Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, put it to Bok skipper Siya Kolisi that he is one of the most important people in Africa. Not just sportsperson, but person.
It wasn’t hyperbole; the reporter explained that he had recently been at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.
There, journalists who knew almost nothing about rugby were speaking about Kolisi as one of Africa’s most important voices and faces.
The humble Kolisi was slightly embarrassed by the question, considering any answer in the affirmative would’ve come across as extremely conceited.
“I don’t see myself like that. I want to be a role model for my kids, my brother and sister,” Kolisi said.
“If I see myself as a giant it is not going to take me anywhere. Especially around the team – the team is far bigger than the individual.
“We come from a nation where you think of ‘we’ before ‘I’. That makes it easy for me to keep grounded.”
Fortunately, Kolisi’s humility and inclusiveness are not public relations creations, where he has one persona under the glare of the spotlight and another in private.
What you see is what you get with Kolisi. And what you get is a man who cares deeply about his family, faith, team and country.
He always considers the voiceless and the powerless in almost everything he does and says. Because who else will, in this country?
He has grown in stature as a leader of one of the greatest teams ever assembled and has emerged as the type of leader this country is crying out for – and not just in sports.
It’s in the simple gestures and the “we” before “me” philosophy, which has failed pretty much every politician in this country, which raise Kolisi above being pigeonholed simply as “rugby player”...

Albert Einstein accepted that many times the most valuable #ideas occurred to him while doing nothing and enjoying his own "no time."
Steve Jobs was also a "famous bum."
"The time Steve Jobs procrastinated and pondered the possibilities was time well spent letting more divergent ideas emerge," Wharton professor Adam Grant once told Business Insider of Jobs' long periods of aimless inactivity.
It is worth mentioning that both geniuses — Einstein and Jobs — managed to do a great job of putting their ideas into practice.
Not only is "no time" enough to be able to change the world, it is an essential ingredient and a part of the whole.
When you're planning the perfect morning routine, it's easy not to give "no time" the attention it deserves, but you should definitely always include it in your everyday life.
You will see a change in the way you think and create, and achieve a more successful version of yourself.

For the first time in a long time, South Africa's 🇿🇦 economy is outpacing the US, UK and France 🇫🇷 ---
The local economy bounced back in May 2022 after experiencing some moderation in the previous month, the latest figures in the monthly BankservAfrica Economic Transactions Index (BETI) show.
“The BETI increased by a significant 9.9% in May 2022 compared to a year ago to reach the highest level since August 2021,” said Shergeran Naidoo, BankservAfrica’s head of stakeholder engagements.
“The May reading was also a substantial improvement on the 4.9% – revised from 4.5% – recorded in April.”
Following revisions to the seasonal factors, the actual index level reached an all-time high at 143.5. The strong number was unexpected in light of the many headwinds that surfaced in the local economy over recent weeks ...

Zozibini Tunzi has opened up to Trevor Noah on the hate she's been receiving since being crowned Miss SA and Miss Universe.
Zozibini admitted that some had felt that she was a “downgrade” Miss SA winner when she won the title in August.
She added that the backlash got more international when people found out that she was going to compete in Miss Universe.
“International people started commenting and I think my most interesting one was when I came to New York, I think four months ago. It was late in the evening and I took a photo of my apartment and I was like, it's such a beautiful night and a comment came in saying, 'this photo is so black, it's as black as you are, Miss ugly SA'".
She goes on to say that, "I'm not mad because it's just how society has labeled beauty to be. It's just how we've been programmed to look at beauty in that way. The further you are from being fair, the uglier you are."
